Bio

Behind the Author

Rahbin was born in South Carolina, and is married with three adult children, Home Schooling all three of them. She began teaching in 1992, mentoring in 1994, and became a Christian Counselor in 2002. She surrendered to God's call to write and fulfill the dream of becoming a writer in 2018.

Throughout life, she had many obstacles to overcome. The diverse trials of sexual, mental and emotional abuse, divorce of her parents in her teen years, 6 suicide attempts, two separate visits to a mental hospital, a marriage that almost ended in divorce, and several miscarriages.

She struggles with the affects of the abuse and carried that pain with her into her marriage. The problems of her past made the first several years of marriage difficult. Feeling she was undeserving of love, happiness, or joy, she tried everything she could to push her husband away. Through God’s hand, her marriage has survived these struggles, and she remains blissfully married to her husband.

Over time and through Gods healing healing touch, she finally moved past distrust, fears, and insecurities. It took many years to find her voice and become secure in whom God created her to be. Despite all odds, never giving up, taking setbacks as they came, she became a mentor, counselor, teacher, speaker, and leader to teens, young adults, women, and marriage groups.

Rahbin is not working or mentoring, she enjoys time with her family, reading, cooking, trying new recipes, listen to music, and spending time outdoors. She loves family picnics, site seeing, exploring unique shops and antique stores. Spending time with her husband and children is the highlight of her week.

Her first publication is "Nurses Yearly Journal For Women." She chose to start with her creative side to learn self-publishing and gain experience in the publication world. Her writings' genre will consist of low content, non-fiction, fiction, and children's books in her upcoming publications.
